Harvey Reid

Harvey Reid is a former national fingerpicking champion who has forged a long and productive career "below the radar" of the music business, and pioneered a number of innovations in acoustic music, including the partial capo. Acoustic Guitar Magazine called him "one of the true treasures of American acoustic music" and Guitar Player Magazine "...a giant of the steel strings." Reid has woven together a large repertoire of American music into his own personal and distinctive style, featuring his guitars, songs, vocals, autoharp, 6-string banjo and mandolins. He is a seasoned performer, veteran teacher, and a long-time guru to indie musicians.
